Refund Policy

We want you to be confident when you subscribe to SoloScan. This page explains when and how we issue refunds.
The short version
You can request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid period. After that, we generally do not issue refunds for the current period, but we will always honour your right to cancel future renewals.
The free plan
SoloScan is free to download and use, with no time limit and no payment information required. The free plan analyzes the first 1,000 characters of any document, so you can confirm SoloScan reads your real files correctly before you pay. We recommend trying it on your own documents and only subscribing once you are sure it fits your workflow.
14-day cooling-off period
As a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a digital subscription within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
To exercise this right, email us at support@soloscan.app within 14 days of your first paid charge. We will refund the amount you paid within 14 days of receiving your request, using the same payment method you used at checkout.
After the 14 days
After the 14-day cooling-off period, SoloScan subscriptions are generally non-refundable for the current billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
If you cancel before your next renewal, you will not be charged again. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Exceptions we will consider
Even outside the 14-day window, we will consider a refund in situations that are clearly our fault, including:
- SoloScan was completely non-functional for you due to a defect we could not resolve within a reasonable time
- You were double-charged or charged after cancelling
- A material feature you specifically paid for was removed without reasonable replacement
Email support@soloscan.app with the details and we will respond within 5 business days.
What we cannot refund
We are not able to refund:
- Periods you have already used the software during (outside the 14-day cooling-off)
- Charges older than 60 days, due to payment processor limitations
- Subscriptions purchased on behalf of someone else without their authorization
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method via Stripe. Depending on your bank, the refund usually appears in your account within 5 to 10 business days.
If we issue a refund, your license is deactivated and your access to the app ends.
Disputes and chargebacks
If you have any concern about a charge, please contact us first at support@soloscan.app. We almost always resolve issues directly. Filing a chargeback before contacting us makes the situation more expensive for everyone and will result in your license being suspended.
